Aurora upgrade implications for CPPD

The only area to focus on when upgrading to Aurora from System 21 are Exit Programs used within the PPD designs.

Exit Programs are RPG routines that facilitate the retrieval of data for inclusion on document output / conditional distribution.

  • In Aurora the library names have changed, these therefore have to be altered within CPPD and the exit program calls.
  • The ownership of the exit programs will have to be altered from QPGMR in system 21 to AULOWNER in Aurora.
  • You may get a “level check” error when calling the exit programs. This means that the exit programs need to be compiled over the Aurora files as the layout has changed.
